Unentitled

We woke to shadows draped in robes of sun,
Lips pressed to frozen towers of glass as one.

Plundered pearl of crescent blue
A crimson gash across your moon

Do not grow weary of doing good.
Rattle the ghosts of dreams – hold fast!

The dog needs letting out.
This bed has not been made.

All lives matter.
All voices count.

This is our fire song.
This is our lighthouse.

The you that is she that is me that is
We – más fuertes juntos, podemos sí!

Today we cry together as one.
Tomorrow we rise together as one.

The Ghazal (Arabic/Persian/Urdu: غزل) is a poetic form used to express the pain of separation and the beauty of love in spite of that pain.
